Was it only 5 or 6 years ago that google home wasn’t around? 

Is it possible that all this technology has created a lack of responsibility in the human mind? 

We used to get up early when it was needed, relying solely on ourselves or an alarm clock. We didn’t have the ability to tell our alarm clock, hey alarm clock! Snooze. True, we had the ability to do it via our phone. But, is it possible that the technology that we have at our fingertips has allowed us to become less dependent on ourselves and more dependent on others. It has created a loop hole to feel less Blame for our own mistakes and our own disadvantages ? 

Or is this technology helping us become better equipped for the future? The future is changing and having this technology has in a way removed the worry or need to have to rely on ourselves and place that energy into something else. Allowing our brains to develop in areas more intricate and detailed. I believe, that it is up to us to decide how we want to make use of that unused space, do we want to develop it further or do we want it to become that old shelf in the back of the room, dusty, unused and forgotten.

In the music realm, technological advances have open the floodgates of unheard independent musicians faster than a decade ago. We are grateful for having that opportunity. But with great power comes great responsibility. It is up to us know to become better equipped on managing our use of technology and keeping the lines between reality and tech to blur our judgement.
